Things that helped me grow my agency
Not paying attention to all of the noise
All of the answers to your questions on how you can make your business work are out there on the internet.
Unfortunately, there’s also a fuck ton of noise that will divert your attention to the new shiny thing.
So if you can’t control your thoughts and the direction you want to go in, you’ll stay distracted saying things like:
“this is the next big idea”
“this is what will work this time”
“this is what they’re doing so i’m going to do something similar or just copy them”
and before you know it time has disappeared and you’ve made little to no progress.
I get it, watching a 30s TikTok of someone running an agency doing $50k/month will seem appealing and you’ll think you can do it too.
It’s the same for when you see a ‘trader’ that made $2.5k whilst you was having breakfast.
or that a drop shipper made $2k in sales overnight.
or that someone who pushes digital products made $1k in 4 days…
it’s easy to be distracted and point at other people
but those that win will always remove the noise and focus on what they need to do.
Consistently doing the boring stuff
It’s boring, the tasks are mundane, it’s not particularly exciting on a day to day basis
but doing the boring stuff simply makes you win.
the issue is that most people don’t have enough belief in themselves and quit way too early.
they think after 1000 emails sent they should have queues of clients
You think that your product or service offering is any different to others in the marketplace even though you’ve only just started…
Remove your ideals, focus on the boring daily stuff.
Daily conversations with business owners should be your goal and what you should focus on is the action to get to that outcome - the answer to this is your outreach. it’s simple.
Planning not just setting goals
If you’ve followed me for a long time you’ll know that most of my progress i attribute to Andy Frisellas Power List.
If i could share one thing with anyone it would always be this to make progress.
Last year i also found the war map which is a Sam Ovens concept.
It basically allows you to visualise a whole entire year on a google sheet and plan on a macro and micro level.
Macro level you set your goals.
Micro level you focus on tasks that will get you closer to those goals.
This concept basically works as it reinforces accountability to do the shit that will get you to your goals that YOU set
it’s so powerful
when you can see you’re not getting 1 booked call a day you start doing everything in your power to have a call a day.
if you can see that you’re only making £3k/month but your target is £10k/month by the end of the quarter, you start focusing on things that will get you more money in the business.
and so on.
you get the idea.
anyway, iv’e left a link for those wanting to try it for themselves👇
