Surround yourself with real winners
How to not have another shit year...
Hey,
I wanted to write to you about something honest today, something that’s been on my mind a lot lately.
Over the past week, I’ve been surrounded by people who inspire me to push harder.
I met up with another agency owner in Manchester on Wednesday, and we spent hours talking about the industry, how to win in this game, and why consistency is the ultimate edge.
It wasn’t surface-level yap session.
It was the kind of conversation that leaves you thinking, “This is the level I want to operate at every single day.”
I also had a call with a friend of mine which is another agency owner who recently moved abroad.
He’s had an incredible year scaling his business, and hearing him talk about the steps he took to get there was a reminder that growth isn’t accidental.
It’s intentional.
And just last night, I came back from a meet up organised by my fitness coach.
It was a room full of fitness enthusiasts.
People genuinely committed to bettering themselves.
We worked out together, talked about fitness, lifestyle, and everything in between.
There’s something powerful about being in a room where everyone is on a mission to improve.
All of this got me thinking about how much your environment shapes you.
If you’re surrounded by people who waste time, procrastinate, and repeat the same patterns year after year, it’s impossible not to get dragged into that cycle.
On the flip side, when you surround yourself with winner, people who set big goals, take action, and are constantly pushing to grow.
It forces you to level up.
Here’s the thing: we become like the people we spend the most time with.
If you’re constantly around people who complain, make excuses, or stay stuck in the same place, that mindset rubs off on you.
It creeps in slowly, but it does.
I’ve noticed it when I worked for my dads company and seen the difference of 3 years completely disappear in 3 months when I left to run my agency.
Went from having less and less respect for those around me due to the person I was working with on a daily basis not respecting anyone.
Whilst at first it was very off putting and i noticed it straight away.
Over time it crept up to a point i’d make excuses about others just to disrespect them in any way.
Not proud to say this, quite frankly ashamed because it meant that those around me often go the short straw of my temper.
But when you’re around people who think bigger, who hold themselves accountable, and who genuinely want to win, that energy is contagious too.
It challenges you to aim higher and stop settling.
And I’ll be honest.
Sometimes it’s uncomfortable.
When you’re around winners, you see your excuses for what they are.
You realise that you could be doing more, that you’ve been playing it safe in certain areas.
That you’re not charging enough.
That you’re hindering your own progress.
That you’re focusing too much on the daily tasks of running the business instead of growing it.
and so on…
But that discomfort is where growth happens.
I’m sharing this with you because I know how easy it is to fall into the wrong environment.
I’ve been there before.
Maybe it’s life long friends that you grew up with that choose to play video games most of their days and dont do anything productive.
Maybe your work mates who aren’t really too ambitious and just want to work and not stress too much.
or maybe it’s your partner who just doesn't understand what you’re trying to achieve.
Breaking away from that isn’t easy, but it’s necessary if you want more for yourself.
This isn’t about cutting people off or being harsh.
It’s about being intentional with your time and energy.
Spend it with people who lift you up, who challenge you, and who push you to be better.
At the start of this year, I made a decision to surround myself with winners, and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.
It’s no coincidence that my agency is growing, my fitness is improving (although massively neglected over the past 4 months due to business) and my mindset now feels sharper than ever.
And as we get closer to a new year, I want to challenge you to think about your circle.
Are the people around you helping you grow, or are they holding you back?
Be honest with yourself.
Because i never was until i seen it for what it is this year.
Because the last thing you want to do is stay surrounded by the same people you’ve been around for years on end and have the same year in 2025.
Don’t do the same shit over and over again expecting a different outcome.
If you want to start 2025 in a community of like-minded people.
People who are committed to growing their businesses, improving themselves, and winning.
Then I’ve got something for you.
I’m putting together something special, and it’s kicking off at the start of the year.
If you’re ready to be part of a community that pushes you to grow.
In all areas of your life not just business.
& To answer the burning questions:
Yes it will be a paid community.
Yes it’s only going to be a certain number of people let in to keep the quality of the group as high as possible.
No it’s not going to be for total beginners that will flood the chats with simple questions you can just google.
No it’s not going to be another Skool community that just takes your money and goes inactive after a few months.
I want to build a real community.
Not one where 1 person is at the center of it all and you look up to them.
but rather one that allows everyone to connect and learn from one another.
& Join calls to share insights and keeps each-other accountable.
You don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
We’re all in it to win.
Talk soon,
Konrad
