- Personal Growth = Business Growth
Personal Growth = Business Growth
I wish I knew at the start of my self-improvement journey that focusing on growing as a person will directly impact my business growth. I didn’t have a business back then, I was a uni student really just trying my best to finish uni.
The whole focus of my self improvement was to become better, get in shape, practice discipline daily, remove distractions, cultivate my environment to maximise productivity and over the years of practicing and focusing on these I grew as a person. I picked up your usual self-improvement books, got up at the crack of dawn for gym sessions before work, tried meditating, journaling, red light therapy but what mattered is that I really dived deep into focusing on growth.
I became more resourceful, ready to take on challenges daily in my day to day job and understood that pain = progress.
The thing most people don’t understand is that pain comes in so many disguises, it’s not just a no from a prospect on a call.
I want you to know that, if you’re running an agency, your own business or want to do so, it’s important to focus on your personal growth, this will by far accelerate your business growth.
Get in shape, learn every day, build habits, and ultimately practice discipline.
I did it without even knowing that personal growth would directly impact my future business’ growth.
Ultimately, you’re the vehicle that determines the success of your business.
and realistically it all starts off with discipline.
‘‘How do you become disciplined?’’
You practice it every single day. You delay the instant gratification and constant need of dopamine and do hard things to get to where you want to in life.
It’s not something you just randomly pick up and you’re good at, for example sticking to cold calling for weeks and weeks after getting told no more times than you could ever imagine. The only thing that will carry you through this is discipline. With of course, reflection to ensure you’re doing the right thing along the way.
Look at actions and your inputs as reps. Keep building those reps. One after another.
‘’The future you, is relying on current you to keep to the promises you made to yourself yesterday.’’
One thing I’d recommend for discipline is to start with understanding that little things compound and it all starts with habits.
Read - Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Another thing I’d highly consider is questioning your own beliefs.
Not to get all religious. I’m mainly referring to business beliefs and what you genuinely believe is achievable.
I’ve recently had a conversation with an agency owner doing £80k+ per month and again it’s shifted my mindset massively and I understood that it’s all just ceilings that you have to breakthrough.
You have to adapt a growth mindset - which i hope this newsletter helps you with.
A growth mindset is the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work.
This mindset is essential for overcoming challenges and achieving long-term success in your business.
Personally I’ve had many limiting beliefs that have stemmed from family and friends, and i really had to re-train my thinking and belief system to quite simply, think bigger.
Not just £10k pm but more on the lines of £100k pm and even further. That’s when you’re scared of your goals and that’s what personally lights a fire under me to attract that.
You’ll unlock new beliefs, gain confidence, build resilience and literally pave a way for yourself to be more successful.
If you think getting 1 client is hard, how are you going to ever sign 10? 25? 50 and so on…
One thing that’s helped me with this is surrounding myself with winners, people doing more, striving for more, hungrier for more. Individuals that are intelligent and far far ahead of me on their journey. Those you can always learn something from.
Be in a room full of winners.
Do anything that you can in your power, to get into those rooms because in all honesty that’s where most growth will happen.
Thanks for reading - appreciate it Konrad
Have a good week!
